This website was a redevelopment of a very old HTML site that we’d done way back in 2004! It was time to enter into the 21st Century so we heading in the direction of a content management system that would put the control in their hands. We chose WordPress as the underlying technology and selected a classy theme that would showcase their work and not be too flashy and intrusive to the visitor.

Their old website was hosted with a service that didn’t provide commonly available website management tools so we decided to re-host their site with InMotion Hosting which is a company I have used for many years and have found very reliable. They also have fantastic support.

They needed a website they could manage in-house and that could be quickly updated with new information. We chose WordPress as the platform and settled on a theme design that would provide most of the capabilities they were looking for. I modified the theme as needed to address their unique requirements.

Their old website was hosted with a service that didn’t provide 24 x 7 support and also didn’t provide commonly available website management tools that I would need to support this website. So we decided to re-host their site with InMotion Hosting which is a company I have used for many years and have found very reliable. They also have fantastic support.

This website was a reconstruction of a static HTML site I had done for them several years ago. They were needing a website that was easier to maintain, that would have more capabilities such as blogging, commenting, secured membership area, and would allow multiple people to update and change pages instead of that responsibility being on one person alone. We quickly settled on WordPress as the platform. We also needed to rehost the site to a hosting service that could better accommodate a WordPress on Linux server setup. We chose InMotion Hosting which is a company I have used for many years and have found very reliable. They also have fantastic support. WAFBLA selected a WooThemes design for the overall design but I modified the design extensively to meet their unique needs. That’s what’s great about WordPress. You can start with a particular theme design but you are free to modify and customize it to meet your unique requirements. I think WAFBLA now has a website that will serve them for a long time to come.

This website was an upgrade from the existing website. They wanted a content management system that would allow them to be more interactive with the public. I was fortunate to work directly with the current developer who knew their current website inside and out and who was up for the challenge of learning a new website management tool. We quickly settled on WordPress as the platform of choice and selected a lovely theme from which we would build the new website. We also needed to rehost the site to a hosting service that could better accommodate a WordPress on Linux server setup. We chose InMotion Hosting which is a company I have used for many years and have found very reliable. They also have fantastic support.

This project was essentially a brand new website. The church had a minimally functioning website but they wanted to really embrace the web and develop a website that would be interactive, easily updatable, and friendly to use by anyone. The church had a very active and engaged website committee that I met with regularly to work through content, navigation, and to help educate them in the ways of today’s content management systems (CMS).

We used WordPress with a purchased theme design that we modified as needed. We also used Google Calendar to manage their busy schedule of activities which is now automatically synchronized with the office manager’s Outlook Calendar. Since their old site was hosted by a provider that just hosted their own tools, we needed to find a hosting service that would accommodate a WordPress on Linux server setup. We chose InMotion Hosting which is a company I have used for many years and have found very reliable. They also have fantastic support.

Mud Bay Blues Band

This project was a new website for this customer. The band did not have a website and needed to have a presence on the internet for their growing audience.

I used the colors from their logo to design the site and tried to keep it jazzy yet not silly.sing the guitar pick, piano keyboard and red guitar helped tie the site together and make it feel like a music related website.

I used Google Calendar for their Upcoming Gigs page so they can easily add, change, delete gigs as needed.Also, setup a GoogleGroups list for them to communicate with fans.

This customer needed updates to their website and also wanted some Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The original website was designed by another company and was several years old when I received it.

We’ve completed the first round of on-page SEO and are currently looking for off-site SEO opportunities. We will monitor the SEO results regularly to determine other SEO opportunities.

This customer needed an e-commerce website for wholesale and retail orders. We selected a highly-rated hosted e-commerce tool because the customer didn’t want to worry about software upgrades and backups.

We modified the website’s design from a template provided by the e-commerce solution provider. This product allows the visitor to log in if approved as a wholesaler to see the wholesale pricing. Non-wholesale customers see the retail pricing.

ARTrails of Southwest Washington

This project was a redesign of an existing website. The customer needed a website they could manage themselves and that would reflect the quality of artist members.

There are about 60 artist members in ARTrails of SW Washington and each member has a page dedicated to them and where they will be showing during the studio tour weekend in September.

This website is built with an open-source software called Joomla which allows them to update and change the website without extensive knowledge of HTML. Eventually, they hope to incorporate a members only area that will be a source for planning, organizing and sharing ideas among artist members.

Wilson Investigative Services

This customer needed a new website that was more modern look and optimized for search engines. We completely redesigned the site, added new content including photos.

The SEO work we’ve done has been largely on-page optimization including removal of over 1200 duplicate pages that were diluting search engine “juice”. We also continue to pursue external SEO opportunities – opportunities that don’t require on-page changes and regularly monitor the SEO results.
